Eric Frien, cold warrior Eastern bloc stand-in and accused cop killer was finally apprehended after weeks on the run in northeastern Pennsylvania.
It seems agreed that he disliked the federal government with some passion and that he also developed a deadly grudge against police.
Those traits combined with the fact that he was living at home at 31, driving his parent’s vehicle and not employed make him of a type.
Does the lack of forward motivation in life give rise to an outward sense of rage at perceived injustice?
If Eric Frein is good at nothing else, he knows how to shoot a rifle with accuracy.
If the charges are true, Frein’s actions can hardly be adequately described by the term “premeditated” as he planned for months for his deadly mission.
Frein is a terrorist.
Move Over Tim McVeigh
The steady gaze, furrowed brow and tight lips.
These guys seem to know more than we do, or at least they think so.
It is a look both of hate and certainty.
For once in their lives they seem to have it all figured out and an act of terror provided the answer.
Frein joins Eric Rudolph and a host of other young (white) men including Lee Harvey Oswald whose attempts to fulfill their empty selves result in acts of terror and hate.
American Jihadi Ethos
Federal Law Enforcement is atwitter at the prospect of so-called “radicalized Islamists” going off to wage jihad in Syria before returning here to wreak a little havoc on the home front.
While they search the cyber chat rooms for signs of incipient radicalization they should also remember that America has our share of terrorists who operate under “ISIS rules” of engagement in their disrespect for diversity.
And, they commit their acts of murder and mayhem using weapons readily available under the laws of our country.
Terrorists?
They all around us, “supremely white” as the driven snow and with a bible on the night stand.
We just don’t like being reminded of it.
