JFK Would Still Be Alive
President John F. Kennedy would undoubtedly have served a second term and retired to a long post-presidential career had it not been for the murderous Marines.
Lee Harvey Oswald, JFK’s assassin, was a marksman trained by the Corp.
Oswald enlisted in the Marines in 1956 and served in the Marine Air Control Squadron in Japan.
The Marine Corps also facilitated his dabbling in learning Russian so that he could later attempt to defect to the Soviet Union.
Felons All About
“Lance Cpl. Sean Michael Shipe was booked for first-degree attempted murder and later charged with first degree terroristic threatening and criminal property damage in the first degree. He was being held on $200,000 bail.” (Marine Times)
“The Marine, Pfc. Joseph Scott Pemberton, 19, has been identified by the Philippine police as the prime suspect in the killing of Jennifer Laude, 26. Formal charges against Private Pemberton were still being prepared, a prosecutor said.” (New York Times)
“A former U.S. Marine was arrested Monday (April 13) for allegedly shooting his wife to death at a Jemison, Ala., doctor’s office, AL.com reported.” (NOLA)
“A 24-year-old Marine stationed in Beaufort was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor Thursday after two incidents involving children at a Hilton Head Island beach, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office news release. (BG.com)
“The beating of a gay man outside a bar resulted in the arrest of four Camp Pendleton Marines and was being investigated as a potential hate crime, Marine Corps and police officials said Wednesday.” (Huffpost)
Of course, the list goes on.
Properly Preposterous
If this all sounds utterly ridiculous, it is exactly the logic used by billionaire loudmouth and republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as he referred to Latinos in the United States.
Pick a few cases and argue from the specific to broad statements about an entire class.
Trump proves that moving piles of dirt around and buying buildings may not be a great training ground for the presidency.
His crude and absurd comments gave him a bump in the republican line-up showing that the GOP is the modern day “Know Nothing” Party.
New Jersey governor Chris Christie, another GOP presidential hopeful and loudmouth said, “I like Donald. He’s a good guy…”
Nice to know.
