Just Drop It Off
On the way to the Natural History Museum yesterday I walked down 12th St., NW, passing beside the former “Old” Post Office which is now the new Trump International Hotel.
Besides mostly being surrounded by barricades and security guards, I noted, as you can see from the image, that the Internal Revenue Service is right behind the hotel.
Should he ever release those returns, getting there will easy.
Stuart Davis: American Original
The National Gallery has a show devoted to Stuart Davis, the Jazz-inspired artist whose pictures vibrate with color and shapes.
The Gallery reminds us that Davis was inspired by the famous 1913 Armory show in New York where art by Van Gogh, Gauguin and Matisse was featured.
If you go, watch the film about the artist, narrated by John Lithgow.
Ho, Ho, Ho
It’s going to get cold here this week but yesterday it was almost balmy so a walk past the Elipse and the National Christmas tree was in order on a night with a nearly full moon.
