Rudolph Pulls It Off
“National Weather Service reports a Dense Fog Advisory issued for December 24, 2016 until December 25, 2016 at 6:00 am eastern standard time. Visibilities: One quarter mile or less. Impacts: Areas of dense fog will cause sudden reductions in visibility and create dangerous driving conditions. Area affected: District of Columbia.”
You know the story, of course.

“Then one foggy Christmas Eve…”
And boy, was it foggy here last night.
Thanks to Rudy (no, not that one) the sleigh was guided sharp as an arrow.
Christmas was cloudless and bright, proven by a morning walkabout.
So nice, in fact, that General Philip Sheridan was out for a ride and well pleased with himself, it seemed.
Also in the neighborhood, and hardly of surprise to the seasoned general, was a herd of Q Street Buffalo, one caught enjoying the warm sun.
Washington is a city of parks and though but a 25-minute brisk walk from the White House, here’s the morning scene.
Little wonder that deer and fox make their way down to visit President Lincoln.
And what’s a walk without a lion?
This one, one of four, merrily guarding the Taft bridge, named for the rather reluctant president as it spans Rick Creek Park, where Teddy Roosevelt used to ramble, on mornings like this one, many years ago.
