A “Butch” Too Far
Just when you thought it was safe to bite into that coconut macaroon, out pops radio evangelist Kevin Swanson.
Swanson blames it on the Girl Scouts and “it” is big: ”lesbianism”, abortion and perhaps worst of all, financial skills.
We would be hard-pressed to say which is worse.

And, Swanson has company. Indiana legislator Bob Morris says that the Girl Scouts are a “tactical arm” of Planned Parenthood, wee lasses skulking around discussing reproductive health in furtive undertones while dropping condoms here and there, unused, of course.
Pastor Kevin’s big beef is Girl Scouts’ failure to teach “godly womanhood” which apparently is centered on keeping girls at home so that they do not get ideas in their pretty little heads about competing with men.
But Swanson gives us an out: can’t bear the idea of giving up those thin mints? Buy’em but cross out all reference to the Girl Scouts “with a black magic marker.”
