IAFF Leg Con: Three Free DC Walking Tours

DC Sites: History and Background

Many folks know I have been a licensed DC guide for nine years.

As a way of thanking my brother and sister IAFF members for their hard work, I will lead three free tours during the conference.

Tour One will be of Arlington National Cemetery.

Tour Two will be of the White House, Ellipse, and Lafayette Square areas.

Tour Three will be of the Mall memorials.

I. Tour One, Sunday, March 4, 1300 hours, approximately two hours.

Meet in front of Arlington Cemetery Visitors Center, Blue Line Metro, Arlington Stop

Kennedy Grave Site, Tomb of the Unknowns, etc.

II. Tour Two, Sunday, March 4, 1600 hours, ninety minutes in length.

Meet on the northeast corner of 17th St. and Constitution Ave., NW.

White House, Ellipse, and Lafayette Square areas.

III. Tour Three, Monday, March 5, 1730 hours, approximately two hours.

Meet on the southeast corner of 21st St. and Constitution Ave., NW.

-Vietnam Veterans Memorial

-Lincoln Memorial

-Korean War Memorial

-DC World War One Memorial

-World War II Memorial

Note:  This is about history, not IAFF politics and they will not be discussed.
