The “Edzo”
Am I the only person who has noticed that “Edzo” is just two short letters from Bozo?
Bozo was, until the appearance of “Edzo”, our most famous clown.
Bozo, like Edzo, made films, his best being Bozo’s Big Top.
But Edzo’s latest film is no clowning matter.
In it he trashes the Washington State Council of Firefighters and anyone who wants an honest and ethical IAFF.
To him, if you are against corruption, you are part of some vast conspiracy.
This video is going to have a very long life, a life that Edzo will live to regret.
Here’s why.
Edzo calls out anyone looking to the United States Department of Labor to assist with the formidable task of cleaning up the IAFF.
If you want a clean IAFF you are part of a conspiracy.
He then invokes the term “rat” as a reference to someone exercising even modest ethics and independence.
That reference and the video will follow Edzo wherever he goes.
Think about it.
The general secretary-treasurer of an international union making it clear that anyone who supports ethical unionism is a “rat.”
That admission automatically puts him on the radar screen at U.S. Justice and DOL.
Moreover, any attorney will use that video as rock-solid proof that he is a union thug.
Was it arrogance, immaturity or ignorance?
Some of all three probably.
And Papa Schaitberger can’t be happy.
Shady Schait
Shady Schait is corrupt but hardly stupid.
He will immediately see the damage that Edzo has done to himself and the IAFF.
Of course, Shady Schait throws the “rat” word around too, but only in whispers at his $1,000 boozy dinners.
He’s far too smart to be on the record on that score.
To Edzo, I say well done.
Your arrogance and immaturity have unmasked you as the corrupt clown you are.
