Escape From IAFF Foiled
IAFF Vice-President and soon to be Cal-PERS pension guru Kelly Fox apparently thought escaping 1750 New York Ave. would be as simple as cutting the barbed-wire and then an easy jog to freedom.
Nien!
Like it or not (probably not) he has now been dragged into the Schady-Schait / “Edzo” orchestrated special election in the 7th district.
The “Edzo”, Shady-Schait’s knight-errant, is up to his bloodshot eyeballs in the race, even making a most foolish (and videoed) campaign appearance where he sealed his fate and reputation as a loudmouth union thug.
During that infamous video, several IAFF members, all of whom know better, made references to the fact that the 7th district could be “isolated” if the outcome was different than what Shady-Schait and the “Edzo” want so badly.
Kelly Fox’s foiled escape proves the isolation charge to be one more big fat lie.
Here’s why.
Kelly was, for all practical purposes, on the Shady-Schait team.
You would think that Fox would enjoy some team loyalty as he departs on his next adventure.
Not.
His feet are not even out the door before Shady-Schait and the “Edzo” tee him up as a pawn in their desperate game of politics.
Schaitberger expects and demands total loyalty yet has always refused to extend loyalty to anyone else.
He has double-crossed vice presidents and cut people off without the slightest thought of their record of loyalty to him.
Anyone who thinks that Ryan Mudie is going to get some special deal because Shady-Schait and the “Edzo” want him is either a lunatic or willfully ignorant.
He’d be just the latest fresh meat in the cell-block.
The “Edzo” said the 7th district race was about the IAFF, on that I’ll agree but for a different reason entirely.
Shady-Schait and the “Edzo” have become so sure that their power is crushingly absolute that they will meddle in affairs that are none of their business while also trying to ruin the reputation of a long-serving and progressive IAFF leader like Kelly Fox.
Every other IAFF district should watch the race in the 7th to see what they have planned for them.
Good luck, Kelly–maybe you’ll have more success on the second breakout attempt but don’t depend on Shady-Schait and the “Edzo” for a lift over the fence.
